Adisutjipto Institute of Aerospace Technology (ITD Adisutjipto) Yogyakarta held an event titled "Socialization of Accelerating Accreditation of Study Programs and Higher Education Institutions" on Monday, June 24, 2024. The event took place in the Husein Sastranegara Hall, ITD Adisutjipto. The event was opened with a speech by the Rector of ITD Adisutjipto, First Marshal TNI Asst. Prof. Dr. Ir. Arwin Datumaya Wahyudi Sumari, S.T., M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng., ACPE, APEC Eng., and featured Prof. Dr. Ir. Ari Purbayanto, M.Sc., Executive Director of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), as the keynote speaker. He presented various strategies and important steps in accelerating the accreditation of study programs and higher education institutions in Indonesia, in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation No. 53 of 2023.

Acting as the moderator for this event was Prof. Dr. Obsatar Sinaga, S.I.P., M.Si. The interactive discussion and Q&A session were well facilitated by Prof. Obsatar, providing participants with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the material presented. The event was attended by various invited guests from universities in Yogyakarta and surrounding areas, including from Poltekkes TNI AU Adisutjipto, the Air Force Academy (AAU), PGRI University Yogyakarta (UPY), Indonesia Digital Technology University (UTDI), the College of Business and Sharia Economics (STIBSA), and Yogyakarta Institute of Technology (ITY).

The material discussed in this socialization covered various important aspects, including:

• The transformation of achieving higher education quality in accordance with the goals and targets of each higher education institution.
• An outcome-based approach and graduate competency standards.
• Reducing administrative and financial burdens for higher education institutions in the accreditation process.
• Focusing on improving the quality of the three main duties of higher education institutions (tridharma).

In his presentation, Prof. Ari Purbayanto emphasized the importance of an outcome-based approach and sustainable quality assurance in achieving excellent accreditation. He also stated that collaboration among higher education institutions is essential to share experiences and strategies in facing accreditation challenges.

With this socialization, it is hoped that all higher education institutions in Indonesia, especially in Yogyakarta, will be better prepared and proactive in facing the accreditation process, thereby improving the quality of education and competitiveness at both national and international levels.
