Adisutjipto Training Center Holds K3 Training to Promote a Safe and Healthy Work Culture

Yogyakarta, July 7, 2025 – Institut Teknologi Dirgantara Adisutjipto (ITD Adisutjipto), through the Adisutjipto Training Center (ATC), held an Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Training attended by 70 participants over the course of two days. The participants consisted of campus security personnel, supporting staff, laboratory personnel, and other campus community members. This training is part of the institution’s efforts to build collective awareness of the importance of a safe, healthy, and responsible work culture.

The training was officially opened by the Rector of ITD Adisutjipto, Colonel Tek Dr. Nur Priyanto Poupon, M.Pd., who emphasized in his speech that the ability and awareness of occupational safety and health are not only essential for industrial workers but also a fundamental need for all elements within the campus environment. Workplace hazards often come in unnoticed forms, such as hanging electrical cords, poor ventilation, or unlocked ladders. Therefore, the training aims to improve vigilance and discipline in identifying and anticipating potential risks from the outset.

Throughout the program, participants received materials covering the introduction to occupational safety and health, the importance of using personal protective equipment (PPE), understanding safe work procedures, and reflecting on minor workplace incidents often caused by small oversights. The training was delivered interactively through discussions, games, and case studies that encouraged active participation. One engaging session was the “Hazards Around You” activity, which invited participants to identify potential risks in their daily work environment.

Beyond enhancing competencies, this training is expected to be the initial step toward cultivating new habits with greater awareness of occupational safety and health on campus. With strong collaboration and high enthusiasm from participants, this K3 training is expected to generate lasting impact in creating a safe, healthy, and productive working and learning environment at ITD Adisutjipto. As emphasized by the Rector, safety is not a choice—it is a necessity, because working safely means returning home whole and healthy.
