On Wednesday (8/11/2023), Rector of ITD Adisutjipto, TNI First Marshal, Dr. Ir. Arwin Datumaya Sumari, IPU, ASEAN Eng., ACPE, accepted the invitation from the Informatics Department of the UPN Veteran Yogyakarta Industrial Engineering Study Program as a resource person in the Capita Selekta Teaching Practitioner Activity. This activity, which was carried out in a hybrid manner, took place in the Informatics Department Seminar Room and was attended by approximately 110 students, both face to face and via Zoom.

On this occasion, Rector of ITD Adisutjipto shared his knowledge regarding Cognitive Artificial Intelligence: Theory and Applications. Cognitive Artificial Intelligence (Cognitive Artificial Intelligence) is a branch of artificial intelligence that aims to develop systems capable of mimicking human cognitive abilities, such as natural language processing, pattern recognition, and reasoning, by utilizing models inspired by how the human brain works. This theory focuses on understanding and replicating human cognitive processes in an effort to produce systems that are able to learn from experience, adapt to changing environments, and make complex decisions. In its application, Cognitive AI can be used in various sectors, such as natural language processing, robotics, recommendation systems, and data analysis, with the hope of bringing significant benefits, such as increasing efficiency, solving complex problems, and developing more humane technology.
