COOPERATION AS A CONCRETE STEP: THE SPECIAL REGION OF YOGYAKARTA AND ITD ADISUTJIPTO STRENGTHEN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The signing of a mutual agreement between ITD Adisutjipto and the Special Region of Yogyakarta Government is one of the efforts aimed at maximizing potential and resources to bolster sustainable development, particularly in the application of aerospace science and technology to enhance public literacy and foster aerospace potential in the Province of Yogyakarta. The agreement, signed by Governor of Yogyakarta, Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, and the Rector of ITD Adisutjipto, First Marshal TNI Dr. Ir. Arwin Datumaya Wahyudi Sumari, S.T., M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng., ACPE, APEC Eng., serves as a foundation for collaboration in various activities encompassing education, training, research, resource development, community service, and technology mentoring for the youth in villages, aligning with the mission of ITD Adisutjipto to contribute to sustainable development in the Province of Yogyakarta and its surrounding areas.

This collaboration has been initiated with the implementation of SME development in Karangtirto Village and Sumber Rahayu Village, Galur Sub-district, Kulon Progo Regency, through mentoring in assembly, installation, and operation of drones named Smart Adaptive Rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SAR UAV) for agricultural land fertilization. Additionally, training on SAR UAV maintenance and operation management, as well as agricultural business models utilizing drones, has been provided.
