Aeronautics Study Program, Adisutjipto Institute of Aerospace Technology (ITD Adisutjipto) held a Public Lecture with the theme "Competence Development of Prospective Aircraft Technicians" on Wednesday (26/7/2023), in the Adisutjipto Room. This Public Lecture began with remarks by the Rector of ITD Adisutjipto, First Marshal of the Indonesian National Armed Forces. Dr. Ir. Arwin Datumaya Wahyudi Sumari, S.T., M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng., ACPE., which was followed by the presentation of material by Dr. Bambang Wahyu Prio Primantoro, S.E., S.T., M.AP. He is a lecturer at Suryadarma University and also has experience as a Senior Engineer at PT Garuda Maitenance Facility (GMF).

In this globalization era, Indonesia's progress in aerospace must be further enhanced. Aerospace Development in question is the mastery of aerospace science and aerospace technology to produce aerospace products and services. The development of science and technology is certainly followed by the world of industry which really needs the presence of human resources. Human Resources (HR) who have expertise in the field of Aviation with professional aircraft mechanic specifications in our country are relatively few.

As we know Aircraft Personnel, aircraft technicians must be equipped with a license or competency certification, as the main requirement for an aircraft technician or mechanic to receive approval (approval) and be issued from the airworthiness service (DKPPU). The next competency that a technician must have is an aircraft type rating so that an aircraft technician can move on to the next career level as an engineer.

The hope is that this Public Lecture can be a means to gain more in-depth knowledge in accordance with the science of the profession being occupied.
