VISITATION OF THE RECTOR TO BATAM STATE POLYTECHNIC AND ADISUTJIPTO ITD ALUMNI MEETING

On Monday (7/8/2023), Rector of Adisutjipto Institute of Aerospace Technology (ITD Adisutjipto), First Marshal of the TNI. Dr. Ir. Arwin Datumaya Wahyudi Sumari, S.T., M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng., ACPE. held a working visit to the Batam State Polytechnic. This visit aims to strengthen cooperation between the two educational institutions and also to establish better relations in the context of exchanging knowledge and experience in the field of aerospace technology.

During the visit, the Rector of ITD Adisutipto and Vice Rector I and his staff were received by Deputy Director I for Academic Affairs, Ahmad Riyad Firdaus, S.Sc., M.T., Ph.D., Ka. Planning, Public Relations and Cooperation, Mrs. Sri Puji, along with the Head of Engineering and Cooperation Staff. At this meeting, an MoU and PKS were also signed with the Batam State Polytechnic, followed by discussions on AMTO and various potential collaborations, joint research, exchange of lecturers and students, and the development of relevant educational programs.

After a visit to the Batam State Polytechnic, in the evening, the activity was continued with a meeting for alumni working at Batam Aero Technic at Laluna Café, Batam. The event which was attended by 23 alumni was held with the aim of gathering alumni from ITD Adisutjipto who work at Batam Aero Technic, a company in the field of aerospace technology based in Batam.

At this alumni gathering, alumni have the opportunity to share their experiences in the world of work, provide insights on the latest developments in the aerospace industry, and establish networks with fellow alumni and related parties. This is also a good opportunity for alumni to provide input and suggestions to the Adisutjipto Institute of Aerospace Technology on how higher education institutions can better prepare their students to be successful in the industrial world.

It is hoped that the working visit and alumni meeting will strengthen relations between the two institutions and provide concrete benefits for the development of education and the aerospace technology industry in the region.
