Rector of Adisutjipto Institute of Aerospace Technology (ITD Adisutjipto), First Marshal of the TNI, Dr. Ir. Arwin Datumaya Sumari, IPU, ASEAN Eng., ACPE, inaugurated the SIAI-MARCHETTI SF.260 TNI AU Special Training Aircraft Monument, on Tuesday (03/10/2023). This monument with the CIA Marchetti airplane icon is included in the light aircraft category with a maximum weight of 1,102 kilograms and a capacity of 3 passengers. This aircraft is capable of flying at a maximum cruising speed of 330 km/h, at a cruising altitude of 10,000 feet. The Marchetti is used by many countries as a training aircraft, some even use it for combat training.

The SF 260 or Marchetti TNI Air Force aircraft was donated to ITD Adisutjipto with no. LK-2615 in January 2008. Before being donated to ITD Adisutjipto, the Marchetti aircraft was used for training for Indonesian Air Force pilots. The Marchetti is made in Italy and has been used by the Indonesian Air Force since 2002 and is a donated aircraft from the Singapore Air Force.

Before being used as a monument or icon of the ITD Adisutjipto campus, this plane was used to support the practicum of ITD Adisutjipto's D3 Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering students.
