In an effort to see the implementation and challenges in implementing the provisions of the PDP Law, PT. Xynexis International, supported by the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia (KOMINFO), will hold another symposium discussing the implementation and challenges of personal data protection in various sectors. This symposium was held under the name "2nd Indonesia Data Privacy and Protection Symposium (IDDPS)" with the theme Data Privacy and Protection: Implementation and Its Challenges. In connection with this, Rector of ITD Adisutjipto, TNI First Marshal, Dr. Ir. Arwin Datumaya Sumari, IPU, ASEAN Eng., ACPE, was invited to be a resource person providing material with the theme "Exploring the Role of Generative AI: Unveiling Risks, Ethics and Legality", on Thursday (2/11/2023), at at the Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel.

In an era characterized by rapid technological progress, the rise of generative AI has introduced a new and unpleasant dimension to cybersecurity. Cybercriminals are increasingly harnessing the power of generative AI to design sophisticated and convincing cyberattacks, such as deceptive phishing emails, fake websites, and adaptive malware. The ability of technology to imitate human behavior and adapt dynamically presents a formidable challenge to traditional defense efforts. Additionally, the lack of clear regulations governing its ethical use adds to the importance of creating robust cybersecurity protocols to combat this growing threat. As AI-based attacks continue to grow, proactive and collective efforts are critical to safeguarding the digital landscape and protecting sensitive data from these emerging cyber threats.
