The Rector of ITD Adisutjipto, Air First Marshal TNI Asst. Prof. Dr. Ir. Arwin Datumaya Wahyudi Sumari, S.T., M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng., ACPE, APEC Eng., delivered a guest lecture to the Officer Students of the Indonesian Air Force Command and Staff College (Seskoau) Class 61 for the 2024 Academic Year, on August 13-14, 2024. This program was attended by Officer Students from the Indonesian Air Force, Army, Navy, Police, and Officer Students from friendly countries, including the United States, Saudi Arabia, Australia, the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Thailand, and Singapore.
On this occasion, Air First Marshal Arwin presented topics on Network Centric Warfare, Cyber Warfare, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology. He provided an in-depth discussion on the concept of Network Centric Warfare, including definitions, battle space entities, and technological developments that support combat doctrines in the information era. This topic is highly relevant in addressing the challenges of modern military operations that increasingly rely on network-centric systems.
Additionally, Cyber Warfare was a major focus, where Air First Marshal Arwin explained the definition, the potential destructive impacts of cyber warfare, and how cyber weapons can be used as strategic arms in modern warfare. He also highlighted the advancements in Cyber-Physical Systems technology, which have become essential elements in current military strategies.
Finally, the lecture concluded with a discussion on Artificial Intelligence (AI), emphasizing the latest AI technology developments and their implementation in defense systems, including AI-based systems developed domestically. This material is expected to provide broader insights for the Officer Students of Seskoau Class 61 in facing the dynamics of future defense challenges.
