The Rector of the Adisutjipto Institute of Aerospace Technology (ITD Adisutjipto), Air Marshal TNI Dr. Ir. Arwin Datumaya Wahyudi Sumari, S.T., M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng., ACPE, APEC Eng., contributed his expertise as a speaker at the Limited Meeting on "Artificial Intelligence-Based Economic Transformation to Boost Investment and National Economic Growth," organized by the General Secretariat of the National Resilience Council (Setjen Wantannas) on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, online. During the event, the Rector of ITD Adisutjipto, who has been involved with AI since 1994, presented his insights under the title "The Contribution of AI in National Economic Transformation."

The President of the Republic of Indonesia has established five steps for National Digital Transformation to accelerate Indonesia's mastery of digital technology. The success of digital transformation is closely linked to the existence of digital industries, which will impact the development of the digital economy, a prerequisite for economic transformation. One of the key technologies driving economic transformation is Artificial Intelligence (AI), and in 2024, Indonesia is faced with the challenge of not being one of the countries experiencing rapid economic development.

Therefore, the Rector of ITD Adisutjipto provided views on the need for synchronization between the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy (Stranas KA) 2020-2045 and strategic programs of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, focusing on Indonesia's economic strengths in the Agro-Maritime sector. Four aspects need to be optimized: AI Utilization in Industries, Implementation of Stranas KA 2022-2045, Capacity of AI Human Resources, and AI Utilization Industries. As known, the Rector of ITD Adisutjipto is one of the contributors and authors of the national document Stranas KA 2022-2045 published by the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) in 2020.
