REVOLUTION IN THE SKY: ITD ADISUTJIPTO PRESENTS DRONE EXPERT TO DISCUSS THE FUTURE OF UNMANNED AVIATION

Adisutjipto Institute of Aerospace Technology (ITD Adisutjipto) held a Guest Lecture on Aerospace Engineering with the theme “Revolution in the Sky: The Role of Drones in Modern Aviation” on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the Husein Sastranegara Hall. The event featured Dede Satria Maulana, S.T., M.Eng., CEO of PT Aksa Karya Satria Angkasa and a drone technology practitioner, as the keynote speaker.

In his presentation titled “Unlocking The Sky Limit With The Farthest Unmanned Technology,” the speaker explained the rapid development of drone technology, covering its history, operating principles, and recent innovations. These include high-performance batteries, hydrogen fuel cells, solar panels, lightweight carbon-fiber materials, as well as the integration of AI and IoT that enable autonomous flight. He also discussed the wide-ranging applications of drones in industry, agriculture, mapping, disaster management, and the emerging fields of cargo transportation and passenger drones currently advancing on a global scale.

The lecture was enthusiastically welcomed by students of the Aerospace Engineering program and the broader academic community of ITD Adisutjipto, who actively engaged in discussions on research opportunities and the future of unmanned aircraft technology. Through this program, ITD Adisutjipto reaffirms its commitment to preparing young talents ready to contribute to the advancement of the modern aerospace industry.
