The ITD Adisutjipto Taekwondo Student Activity Unit (UKM) team successfully secured two bronze medals in the Bhayangkara Presisi II National Taekwondo Championship, competing for the DIY Police Chief's Challenge Trophy 2024, on Saturday (June 22, 2024), at the UNY Sports Hall.
The first bronze medal was won by Nasywan Ade Raihansyah from the Aerospace Engineering program, class of 2022. Nasywan demonstrated his best skills in the Senior Kyorugi U-68 Men’s category, defeating several strong competitors from various universities across Indonesia. A similar achievement was made by Haryo Wichaksono, also a student from the Aerospace Engineering program, class of 2022. Haryo succeeded in winning the bronze medal in the Senior Kyorugi U-74 Men’s category, bringing pride to ITD Adisutjipto.
This achievement was met with great pride by the entire academic community of ITD Adisutjipto. The university highly appreciates the efforts and dedication of the taekwondo athletes who have brought honor to the campus at the national level. It is hoped that this success will motivate other students to continue excelling and enhancing the reputation of ITD Adisutjipto. With the spirit and hard work demonstrated by the students, ITD Adisutjipto is optimistic about continuing to achieve excellence in various fields and leading the campus to greater heights at the national and international levels.
